Tim Holmström – Co-director

J. Andrés Vargas - TCC 2009 (98)

Tim has spent more than two decades as a sports photographer and graphic designer for large international multi-day races and sporting events such as Eco Challenge and Primal Quest.  His work and travels have taken him to wild and remote destinations all  around the world to run, explore and photograph these incredible events.  He’s been inspired by this work and is passionate about creating and sharing these extraordinary experiences with others in the ultra running community.

As a Race Director and Event Director and promoter, Tim has pursued this passion over the last 10 years by developing and staging several well-known and successful ultra trail running races such as The Coastal Challenge in Costa Rica, Lost Worlds Trail Series throughout Europe, and upcoming  Desert Challenge in Jordan and Oman.  These races have inspired and attracted adventure seekers and endurance athletes from all over the world who are looking for a rich life experience and to test their mettle and get a glimpse of the “raw material” from which they are made.

While these races have left their mark on people throughout the years, they inspired Tim to seek out new and more meaningful goals and challenges.  Now he’s ready to offer some new race possibilities to a wider and more diverse audience hungry for fresh adventures.  This race represents the culmination of those possibilities, and if The Coastal Challenge was a baptism for those entering this realm of endurance running, then the ONE RUN will most certainly be the exorcism.
